French strikes means chaos for UK travellers

The French national strike has hit for the third time this month creating chaos for UK travellersStrikers are causing disruptions to airports, train stations, hospitals and schools.Orly airport saw half of its flights cancelled today, with at least one in three cancelled at Charles de Gaulle airport.Eurostar are expected to operate normally bu only one in three TGV high-speed trains will be running.The Metro and bus services are functioning to schedule in Paris. According to the national train operator S.N.C.F, intercity trains to Paris were running at only one-third of normal frequency, while rural services were more seriously disrupted. RyanAir cancelled 250 flights and British Airways reports delays and distruptions.If you are travelling to France today, contact your airline first for information.
